My New Sewing School!

I'm super excited to take a few moments to share my exciting news. I promised you earlier this week I'd tell you all about this project that I've been working on for a few months now.

I'm starting a Sewing School named 504 Stitches! At first it will just be open on Sunday's and I will be holding two classes per week.  There will be a series of Sewing Machine boot camp style classes as well as some really fun, cute and useful projects like a Retro Apron workshop, a vintage re-work workshop, and lots of opportunities to have my along for a visit to the fabric store or shop with you for a new sewing machine purchase.

I still have details to work out. I just wanted to share this with you. It's a very exciting time for me. I will be sharing more and more with you as the classes start and projects get sewn up!

Here is part of my little marketing blurb for my upcoming news letter :

504 Stitches is a Sewing School for fearless and crafty types who want to learn to sew or perfect and learn new skills on the sewing machine. Classes are offered in Uptown New Orleans on Sundays, private instruction, and choose your own adventure parties are also available!

The first of it's kind, 504 Stitches will engage students to find ways to create and sew everyday. From a vibrant online community that shares daily photos of projects to workshops and classes that inspire and teach the basic skills needed to sew function, fun and pretty things for life.

I hope you had a busy and fruitful weekend!
